Samaritans of Singapore Need Help? Call 1800 - 221 4444 (24-hour hotline)

Services

24-hour Hotline: 1800-221 4444

Available round-the-clock, everyday, all year, to anyone who is in crisis, thinking of suicide or affected by suicide. Calls are taken by trained volunteers (Samaritans) who come from diverse backgrounds, all of whom share a common capacity to care and listen to anyone who is going through a difficult time.

All information shared by callers is treated as strictly confidential. Callers can choose to remain anonymous.

Email Befriending

For people who prefer to write instead of talking on the hotline. Anyone can email Pat and will receive a reply within 48 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Counselling

SOS also provides professional counselling sessions for those who prefer to meet up to talk about their problems.

All counselling sessions are conducted by SOS staff and can be scheduled between 9am and 8pm on Mondays to Fridays. Call our hotline to make an appointment.

Support After Suicide

LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) is an outreach programme to provide emotional support to survivors bereaved by the suicide death of a loved one. Emotional support is provided via telephone calls; counselling sessions and home visits may also be arranged.

Healing Bridge is a suicide bereavement support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Members of Healing Bridge meet at SOS to share their experiences and talk about their feelings. They also receive comfort and understanding from others who have suffered a similar loss, and learn to cope with the grief.
For more information, please call us at our hotline or email to pat@samaritans.org.sg.
